Norhing Phone (3): Key Features and Specifications
The Nothing Phone (3) takes bold steps in design while staying true to the brand’s transparent aesthetic first seen on the Phone (1). This time, the back panel has been reimagined with an asymmetrical, geometric layout featuring a distinctive three-column grid. The top section includes the main camera sensor, an LED flash, and the new Glyph Matrix. Below that, you'll find two additional camera lenses and a small red LED that activates during video or voice recordings.
The device features a 6.67-inch flexible AMOLED display on the front, offering a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits. Its ultra-thin 1.87mm bezels are approximately 18% slimmer compared to those on the previous Phone (2), enhancing the immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Phone (3) is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, delivering significant performance gains — up to 36% faster CPU, 88% faster GPU, and 60% improved AI processing over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. While performance is flagship-level, the pricing places the Phone (3) in competition with premium-tier devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Elite variants.
A touch-sensitive circular haptic button located mid-frame enhances the interactive experience, letting users quickly switch widgets displayed on the Glyph Matrix without needing to unlock the screen. The build quality is solid, featuring Gorilla Glass Victus on the back, Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, and an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.
The redesigned Glyph Matrix now consists of 489 white LEDs, arranged in a circular format that supports customizable visual alerts, app icons, contact-based notifications, and even mini-games like “Spin the Bottle” and “Rock Paper Scissors.” It also includes tools such as a Glyph Mirror for selfies, a battery level indicator, stopwatch, and a digital clock — all accessible via the Glyph Toys menu in the settings.
Running on Nothing OS 3.5 (based on Android 15), the Phone (3) is guaranteed five years of major Android updates and seven years of security patches, ensuring long-term usability. The brand also confirmed a Q3 2025 rollout of Nothing OS 4.0, built on Android 16.
For photography, the Phone (3) impresses with 50MP sensors across all cameras. The rear houses a 50MP primary lens with OIS, a 50MP periscope lens supporting 3x optical zoom and 60x AI Super Resolution Zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. The periscope camera also enables macro shots. Up front, a 50MP selfie shooter replaces the 32MP unit seen on the Phone (2).
Battery life sees a major boost with a 5,500mAh silicon-carbon battery (India variant), up from 4,700mAh in the Phone (2). The global version ships with a 5,150mAh battery. Charging speeds are now 65W wired, 15W wireless, and reverse wireless charging is supported as well.
